BYO Sunset

I tried photographing the sunset at Mornington last night, overlooking the marina, but the clouds came in and covered the horizon, so I had to take matters into my own hands.

By coincidence, I'd recently changed my iPhone lock screen to a sunrise shot I took 12 months ago, when I got my phone out to check the official sunset time I had this great idea.

Siri sings a song and tells a story

When I accidentally activated Siri (the Apple Personal Assistant found on iOS devices such as the iPhone) this week, I was reminded that you can actually have a bit of fun with this built in app on my phone.  Seeing as I haven’t really used Siri in real life, I thought I’d have a play…
First I asked Siri to “sing me a song”; IMG_2885
I then asked Siri to “tell me a story”, but this time “she” was a bit more reluctant and came up with several excuses such as “you’ve heard it before”, but with a bit of persistence I finally got my story;

iPhone blogging

Testing out a new iPone app for posting blogs from my phone.

I can even add photos direct from the phone.
This is Brad and Karla as seen from my spot on the couch.

iPhone

It might sound geeky, but Mandy and I have just upgraded out mobiles to the Apple iPhone 3GS.

We're still finding, and experimenting with all the apps available on iTunes, and learning how to drive the phones them selves, but overall we reckon the iPhone is pretty cool.
