I'm a big fan of Flickr, the photo sharing web site from Yahoo! and
have uploaded over 5000 photos since joining in 2007. I often embed
photos hosted on Flickr to this, and my other blogs.
Today Flickr announced changes to their embedding code so that additional info is shown, and readers can scroll through other photos from the embedded image.
This post is simply to test out what happens when the new code is used, so below is a picture of my daughter, embedded from Flickr .
I was a little worried when I first heard about this, but I see the old HTML option is still available, so we can choose how we embed photos, so I give this a thumbs up!

Christmas Lights
I went for a walk last night with Mandy, Brad and Karla to have a look at the local Christmas Lights some local residents have put up on their houses.
I took my trust Nikon along to try and get some nice shots. With a highish ISO setting and wide aperture I was happy with the results. There's a small street where everyone is right into their Chrtistmas lighting and lots of people walk through in admiration. I'm really happy with this shot which not only captures the extensive display of lights, but also the community atmosphere of this normally quiet Pakenham street.

My photo on Planet Earth blog
It's nice when strangers like my photos.
In October 2009 I told you about one of my photos (showing motorbikes on their way to Phillip Island for the Grand Prix) appearing on the blog site A PHOTO A DAY FROM PLANET EARTH.
From time-to-time I will add photos to their flickr group, and this week they chose my photo of the Cape Schanck Lighthouse to publish on the site.

Steamrail Shuttles
Last weekend, steam train "shuttles" were running between Berwick and Pakenham. I took the kids for a ride in the morning and then spent a few hours in the afternoon photographing the old train (and trying to keep up with it).
I've posted lots of photos on flickr;

Photo a day from planet earth
Last week I blogged about taking Brad down to Tooradin to watch the bikes heading to Phillip Island for the Grand Prix.
One of my photos from that morning have been used on the photo blog site "A photo a day from planet Earth".

Experimenting with my "Blogger" blog
Ok, my first blog post on Blogger.com is online. Something else I'd like to try is embedding a picture from my flickr.com site.

This picture is of my newborn baby girl. I've embedded HTML from flickr for it to show here.
